Laziness and reticence have been constant companions, sometimes to our detriment, but usually to our artistic advantage. The inevitable friction that is created between poetry and commerce, dreams and deadlines is the subject of this song.
Lyrics
It’s cloudy in the morning
Atmospheric warning
I feel alive when I’m at rest
The citizen is walking
The meadowlark is talking
Chance is taking nothing else
Opportunities, they slip
I see a sinking ship
Time is such a difficult test
Well maybe this is what I get
For being such a sleepyhead
Never finishing my quest
I like dreaming best
I can’t wait for what comes next
Let me tell you things about this
The hero and the prophet
Travelling only for the day
The mountains maybe melting
And i’m afraid of flying
But the moon still shines on every lake
Temporary breakthrough
Bound to disappoint you
I could never take a break
Well maybe this is what I get
For being such a sleepyhead
Never finishing my quest
I like dreaming best
I can’t wait for what comes next
Ooh but we promise that we have bright ideas
We’re playing small clubs but we want the arenas
A studio production that needs no introduction
The road ahead is long but it’s clear
Well maybe this is what I get
For being such a sleepyhead
Never finishing my quest
I like dreaming best
Well maybe this is what I get
For being such a sleepyhead
Never finishing my quest
I like dreaming best
I can’t wait for what comes next
